I have always had an interest in photography, but for a long time it didn’t go any further than trying to make great photos of our kids and our travels. When my daughters were selected to represent Belgium at the WIKF Karate World Championships in 2013, I was determined to make great photos of this – what we thought was a – once in a lifetime experience. I soon discovered that indoor sports required an (D)SLR camera, so I bought one. It was the start of an inspiring journey in which I learned a lot about photography and sports photography in particular, I became the official photographer or WIKF Belgium, and my daughters obtained several European and World titles in WIKF Karate!
